Winter shoes for every occasion

This month we talk a bit about the different types of winter shoes that are filling slynkey girls' closets and give you some tips on what you should be wearing when!

For a night out or Cocktail Party:
Anytime you wear a cocktail dress or you should definitely wear heels. Flats will not give you the same impact at all. Bright coloured and sparkly heels are hot at the moment, just don’t match them exactly to your dress!

Strappy sandals are ok if you are going to be inside the whole time, but may not be so flash while you shiver waiting for a cab or hopping between bars – chilblains are not worth a night out in winter!

The skinnier and higher the heel, the taller and elongated your body will look - fab, so this is the time to go sky high and stilletto - as you won't be in them for too long either. But don't forget those Party Feet inserts to cushion your feet for all that dancing!

 For a Casual Movie date:
Although we know how tempting it is, Don’t wear your UGGs boots with your more casual jeans a rounded toe shoe (flat or slightly heeled) is more appropriate. Tottering into the movie theatre on heels is not a good look either, and just a waste of all that pain - Its dark in there remember girls!

For a day at Work:
A slightly sturdier, wider, shorter heel as opposed to thin or stiletto is really more appropriate for work. You need to be able to keep up with your colleagues and to survive 8+ hours in them, you need a wider base to spread the weight.

You can also team those gorgeous peep toes in your wardrobe with opaque tights – gone are the gross seam along the toe, you can get a nice clean look and this is just as warm as a full shoe - we promise!

How many pairs of shoes do you own?
