What the Catwalk brings us for Autumn 2006

Heard rumors that nobody looks good in high-waisted jeans except stick insects? Don’t believe it! A generation of 20 somethings has never sported jeans that reach anywhere near their waist and simply don’t know how comfortable and flattering they are. Move with the times, Chicky Babes, those low slung rock star – muffin top and g-string exposing - jeans are destined to be old fashioned yet again!

This season's trends have veered away from bohemian towards a more tailored and demure ladylike look. Victorian blouses feature strongly as do tailored suits - especially matched sets -ranging from fitting skirts or shorts teamed with tailored jackets to the ever popular professional looking pant suits. Tailored vests, military styling, big boots and new slants on traditional winter plaids and pinstripes add a bit of dandy and sexy toughness to your ensembles.

Knits this season range from oversized to fitted like the sexy little must-have cardies by Insidious Fix. The serious, dark colors favored this season reflect the emerging trend towards a more grown-up approach to fashion with sexier, more powerful looks in the forecast!

The summer purchases you should keep are:
* Boots in all styles – Victorian to military
* Ballet-style flats
* Suit pant-style shorts
* High-necked lacey Victorian blouses
* LBD (little black dress)
* Tailored vests
* Fitted Jackets - traditional to military
* Wide belts
* Leggings
