Tips on Colour, Weddings and Pregnancy for the Modern Girl

Colour Blonde Ambition -Blondes need variations, platinuim all over, looks creamy buttery blonde, gold honey, sun kissed - more highlighted look.

Redheads Opting for more darker rich purple and blue red tones.,

Brunettes More bold more solid - almost black for the modern girl, high shine and gloss are essential

Maintenance All hair types need to invest in regular gloss treatment and colour conditioners to maintain their shine vibrance and manageability once a week

Terms "Block Colour" All over colour very modern at present containing colour, semi permanent. A lot softer than permanent

"Rinse or colour conditioning" Colour added ingredients as peroxide or crystals. Colour conditioner use once or twice a week.

"Highlights or lowlights" Highlights & slices not weaves. Weaves are too subtle for todays look. Slices are more obvious for after glow to create more texture and modern silhouette in the simplest cuts.

Your colour. You should absolutely love your new shade. It should be wild and crazy and feel full of energy.

Wedding- To be blunt. Wedding hair should be designed after your dress has been chosen. To create an image on the day consult your hairdresser and make up artist. Practice is essential so you feel free and happy. It is about you on your day and only you and your new lover. So be staunch about the finished look you want. Ideas come from wedding vogue magazines and internet pictures tell 1000 stories.

Pregnant – Colour my hair or not ?
Up to the individual. Some health professionals say yes and some say no. In my experience as a professional hairdresser its up to the individual. We advise less block colouring more rinses or colour conditioners or otherwise foils - less colour sitting on the scalp. This is a very interesting topic and it is very important to keep your hair and scalp in good condition and you have to feel happy and confident- It's all about you!
