I have spent countless hours on the Salon floor ensuring that every client who leaves Ginger Meggs looks “100% ugly free”. [I am obsessed about hair. I admit it.]Recently a kiwi company approached me with their new natural hair care product Keratin. Keratin is derived from Merino wool. Was I excited, enthusiastic ..!!! Question? “What if I could develop a professional hair care range where the “ugly” industrial ingredients were removed ?” Well with the help of many experts and exhaustive testing - “Mike” is here.
What is so special about “Mike”? We have used naturally occurring ingredients such as keratin, ylang ylang, bergamont, rosemary and lavender. Where remotely possible we have removed the “ugly” industrial chemicals like sulfates, parabens, sodium chlorides and silicon.
Why? This motivation I cheerfully admit is personal. My son and daughter are just starting to use hair care products. They will probably use them for another 50 years. We owe it to them to ensure the world we will pass on to them is “100% ugly free”.
I would like to ask you a personal favour. Next time you purchase a hair care product, ask your stylist if the product is sustainable and “ugly free”. Lets start looking good and keeping the world healthy like our hair.
