Fashion usually slowly evolves making subtle changes. Suddenly there is a change. This new look settles and suddenly…FASHION AS EVOLUTION. At Ginger Meggs one of our tasks is to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the glossy magazines. Yes it is deeply superficial to devour the latest celebrity looks, fashion catwalk, advertisements, competition entries…studying the subtle variations. When a client walks in and comments after having glanced at a magazine. My staff and I are there!
FASHION - THE NEXT SUDDEN CHANGE. (The new look) I have a few methods to work out where to search on the fringes for the new styles that are going to power up the next sudden change for the glossy magazine printing presses. (Knowing where to look has been useful in helping me to win more than a few international / national hair competitions and magazine layouts)
HERE IS MY PREDICTION FOR THE NEXT SUDDEN CHANGE: The fringes will be short and have a gentle curve. It will be boxed, bobbed and geometric shaped. Mary Quant before she became a make up case. Colours –Jet Black with green and / or blue panels of colour. Blond with Pink and / or blue panels. Expect this to emerge in the fashion, catwalk, social and celebrity pages.
The best haircut is three parts: (1) Fashion (2) Face Shape and hair type (3) Lifestyle-reflecting how you live. More will be revealed next month…….
