The first rule of thumb when it comes to your summer schedule is that less is definitely more. The heavier make-ups that worked well over the winter months will not work quite as well when the heat turns up and sweat begins to happen. If you think sheer, in both colours and the products themselves, you can’t go wrong. Since you will have a bit of colour, you won’t need to wear as much foundation! Applying your foundation so you can see the natural glow of your skin will look much nicer than putting lots on, so just even out the skin tone!
Your summer routine will consist of adding some colour and shimmer to your skin. If you use a blush, this helps to lift your complexion, whilst a bronzer will deepen your tan. Blush colours that will work well on tanned skin include the bright pinks and corals that will give you a rush of colour that looks natural - almost sun kissed.
Eyes…. think sheer blues, greens, golds and coppery pink. Having a hint of colour is best for daytime wear, but you can go all out with three colours in the evening to make your eyes really pop at night. Summer’s generally the right time to stick with waterproof mascaras, and make sure you work your eyeliners in. Even if you’re not going swimming, sweaty skin in hot weather can cause your makeup to drip and smudge. The best way out of this is to use a FACE Stockholm foundation!
