We slynkey girls are social wee things and stay busy around the clock. It’s not unusual that we’re going straight from work to an evening on the town. Your demure work makeup look is not likely to be glam enough for the dimmed lights of inner city venues, so this month we bring you some great tips to help you quickly upgrade your makeup for a night out on the town!

Your Base
After a day in the air con of the office, you will definitely need to touch up your foundation. The best way to do this is take a foundation brush and simply dab a little bit of foundation where it has got a bit thin and imperfections are showing through. Use your fingers to blend and set your foundation with a light layer of powder. Then whip out the shimmer. Use anything remotely shimmery, glittery or pearly you have in your bag, since shine screams evening!
Your Eyes
Add a brighter or deeper version of your faded day colour over the whole lid. Add a really dark shade of eyeshadow (grey, purple and brown are good) to the back corner of the lid and in the crease. Liquid eyeliner for night will also really make your night eyes pop. You can also use a wedge or angle brush to add extra definition and more arch to your eyebrows. But be careful not to over do it! And finally add another coat of mascara, but only apply to the tips of your lashes. This will ensure it doesn’t clump with your existing mascara.
Your Cheeks
Smooth on a cream blush. They’re easy to re-apply and give your face a healthy glow without looking cakey. Or use bronzing powder to add depth and definition on your cheeks. Don’t go over board as a very coloured or flushed looking cheek is not natural for night-time. You can also add some shimmering highlights to the higher part of your cheekbones to finish.
Your Lips
Apply a more intense lip color than what you were wearing during the day. It doesn’t have to be dark red; just a few shades darker will do the trick. The point is to draw attention to your lips, the easiest and quickest part of the face to highlight dramatically. Also go with gloss, gloss and more gloss. Gloss is easily reapplied throughout the evening amoungst fun, drinks and dancing.
