Nicole Richie is a fashion icon in young Hollywood and always looks great. Usually rocking the "hippy chic" look, Nicole's makeup is always different and striking. Here are a few of her recent looks & step by step how you can recreate them at home:

Look 1 - Clean Professionalism
This is a perfect look for work or Springtime nights, because it incorporates nude lips and clean glowing skin but still looks very polished. With her heavily lined eyes, the overall effect is dramatic yet light enough for a warm night.

Step 1 Base: Use a primer to even out the face and provide staying power before applying foundation. Then use a face highlighter or shimmer product to get a subtle all-over shimmer.

Step 2 Blush: Use a rose pink blush, applying it to the apples of your cheeks and leading up towards the tops of your ears.

Step 3 Eyes: Apply a pearly neutral coloured eyeshadow from the lid to the crease. Swipe a light touch of this along your lower lash line and in the inner corners of your eyes. Use a light brown eyeshadow in the crease from corner to corner. Line the entire eye with black liquid eyeliner, close to the lashes. Curl your eyelashes and appy two coats of black lengthening mascara.

Step 4 Lips: Choose a very delicate pink lipstick that has a golden sparkle to it. Apply a coat and then blot with tissue. Apply 1 coat of a sheer gloss.

Look 2 - Night-time Glamorous Gold
This look is similar to Look 1 but just turned up a notch and with more golden accents. Perfect for a night out on the town, all the focus will be on your eyes which will pop!

Step 1 Base: Apply a matte foundation, blending carefully around the jawline. Apply concealer under the eyes, over the lips and on the eye lids. Conceal any blemishes.

Step 2 Blush: Use a peachy-pink blush to give your face a natural-looking flush. Use a large powder brush to lightly dust on neutral face powder to set the blush & base.

Step 3 Eyes: Lightly dust your eyelids with a goldy-bronze powder eye shadow and a dark chocolate brown shot with gold in the crease, fading it up towards the eyebrow. Line the bottom of your eyes with a white-gold shadow and dab this in the inner corners of the eyes also. Add coats of liquid black eyeliner until you get a wide bow shape on the upper lid and apply fake eyelashes!

Step 4 Lips: Slather a nude brown-pink lip gloss over concealed lips. Add clear gloss to finish!
