Microdermabrasion

Being a regular buyer of skincare products that claim to “promote skin rejuvination”, “prevent signs of stress” and “reverse the damage caused by the sun” I have always been slightly disappointed at the results (or sometimes lack of) that come with spending large amounts of money on specialised formulas.

About six months ago I was introduced to the idea of microdermabrasion. Although I was aware that it existed, I had never fully considered the possiblilty that this treatment may have major benefits for myself and the way I treated my skin. Being naturally pale with sensitive skin I often find some products on the market too abrasive or harsh to use regularly.

After just a couple of sessions I could see a difference in my skin; it was looking smoother, clearer and a lot more even-toned. With a recommended one session a week I was seeing better results than after using a product every day for the same period of time.

Microdermabrasion is suitable for anyone, the strength of exfoliation is dependant on your own individual skin type and needs. As with any product it cannot guarantee spectacular instant results but I would recommend it to any person unhappy with their current skincare regime. It does come at a cost though, with most sessions costing around $40-$50 each, unless you pre-pay a full treatment course.
